The dead have a saying “live longer”. Therefore the most innovative, most active and most versatile BeatBoxers of Germany: Zlep, beatbox Eliot, Bina and Art of Beatbox are united, in order to show the world once again, what is possible with just the mouth, so to say as loudmouths without words. With a yummy mixture of studio songs, live recordings, comprehensive projects and sound experiments, the boys lay down the challenge. Of course, that sets the bar a good deal higher, but actually the focus of this project is on musical versatility. BeatBox offers such an enormous spectrum of possibilities in generating tones, that the interested listener will be pleased to hear a fascinating selection of live-tracks and professional multi-track productions. The Undead respectively indestructible: Zlep, beatbox Eliot, Bina and Art of Beatbox are the heavyweights of Germany’s BeatBox scene but have also achieved overwhelming approval from their audience, colleagues and critics worldwide. No miracle here - not only are they constantly performing their solo-shows, touring and jamming with friends such as Killa Kela (UK), Tyte (UK/humanbeatbox.com), BoxStyleBern (CH), the Delinquent Habits (US), Scratch (US/the roots) or Saian Supa crew (FR), they were also considerably involved in the first major, pure BeatBox compilation world-wide "The Mystery of BeatBox" in 2001. | The first
BeatBoxer
on stage of Munich Jams! at that time, Zlep already performed
with its crew "P-Brothaz" together with the "Fantastischen Vier", as
nobody knew them, thus to times as Rap was a subculture, television had
only five channels and German Rap-Lyrics were considered as curiosity .
His younger brother Martin and Band colleague at that time mixed the
compilation "THE UNDEAD" by the way. The first sessions with Eliot were
already boxed 1987 at the legendary Writers-Corner in Munich, the
Isartor. The beginning of a friendship and an interest community of
many years, which has born the first German BeatBox Tape in 1998 what
became a rare collectors item in meantime: "Unknown Studio Files".
Without any comparison, because something like that just didn't exist,
the best 30 minutes of a two hour Freestyle session were cut together
and could conserve the so typical charm of BeatBox: any time any where funky

A prehistoric
rock of Germany's HipHop movement and one the most active German
BeatBoxer on international level! As an initiator of the first major
BeatBox Compilation "The Mystery of Beatbox", the first BeatBox Drumkit
in "Battery II" (Native Instruments), with over 16 publications and
numerous features amongst others with the "Guano Apes", "Lou Bega",
"Michael Mittermeier", "Brixx" and "Flowing Immo", with over 60
Solo-show a year, and as live-support amongst others for "Red Man &
Method Man", "Emil Bulls", or cabaret artist "Sebastian Kraemer", with
Video Clips on rotation as well as scoring films, books and
advertisement in addition, with scene comprehensive projects like the
electro joint "Element Peak Squad" together with "Ben Mono "(Compost
Rec.) Eliot advances not only the publicity of BeatBox persistently
but lives before all, his vision: BeatBox as "instrument" with
unforeseen possibilities and without style-fascism.

A
highly
gifted musician, producer and terrific Drummer! Bina shows up
responsible for the Studio production and musical line of numerous
albums amongst others for musicians like: "Kurtis Blow", "Venus
Malone", "Da Loco", "Boarshill No. One" and "Maria Reiser". The blooded
musician ensured the funky beats as Live Drummer for "Freaky Fucking
Weirdoz" or "Tefla & Jaleel" and as the "orchestra master" he will
indicate the sound of the coming tour for the "Massiven Töne".
Since the common work on "The Mystery of Beatbox" Bina regularly
produces a proper BeatBox thunderstorm with colleague Eliot. The show
"DoubleTrouble" inspires the listeners by singular compositions with an
inferno of different sounds, Beats, Bass and Scratch Orgies, peppered
with Vocal Samples and is considered as yardstick in the BeatBox scene.
So that's how it sounds, when above all the fun at the thing is the
center of attention. |
This promising
newcomer just published his debut record "ARTcore.EP" and was
successfully on tour in Germany. Since 2000 he already pleased the
thrilled audience with his sophisticated Solo-Show on over 160 Gigs and
in the meantime he is not inferior to the seniors in any case. Living
in Hamburg he is not only very present in Germany, but also in his
homeland Poland particularly active with features on numerous major
releases of the best known Polish Rap acts like "Liroy" or "Obóz
TA". In Germany he already stood on stage as support for "Fatman
Scoop", "Grand agent" or "Tony L." and his up-coming LP features
magnitudes like "Kenny Muhammad" and "Torch". On Tour, Eliot supported
Art with a collective feature as highlight of his show in Berlin, where
Art also gave the impact to a union of German BeatBoxer, what now
carries its first fruits with this Compilation. |
